This morning I caught up with my beautiful friend Brooke, and we headed to The Lazy Monk Cafe in Seven Hills (just across the street from where I get my hair done at Unsurpassable) for their delicious (and cheap!!) breakfasts.
Last weekend, my family and I headed to the 75th Birthday celebration for Brisbane’s Story Bridge! The bridge was opened to the public and Eat Street Markets was set up for the day. Although it was ridiculously packed (we could not move), we had a great time. First, I had an amazing Nutella crêpe- it was only $5! Next, it was time for Dippin’ Dots! These are weird, freeze dried bits of ice cream- very interesting… Can’t wait to see what they do for the 100th year anniversary! :) xx K
Today I woke up to fantastic news. In a historic victory, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in favour of MARRIAGE EQUALITY in the Obergefell v Hodges case. Very soon, all 50 states in America will have marriage restrictions based on gender lifted. Yay!! My Facebook newsfeed and Twitter timeline were flooded with messages of love and acceptance for all (it probably helps that I deleted all the bigots a while ago…) #lovewins is trending on Twitter, and rainbows are flying high and proud.
Except here in Australia. That’s right- the land of beaches, blondes, and a laid back attitude doesn’t support same-sex marriage. Apparently getting a “fair go” only applies to those who don’t dare challenge the status quo. Read more…
